So far we have raised $420 to fight hunger. The kids set a goal of $500. We're so close! I'd really love to reach our goal before Christmas, so if you've been meaning to donate, or purchase a pattern, now's the time! Remember, the pattern is only $5. The kids have been marking our progress on one of those giant thermometers. They've been enthusiastically coloring in the donations.
We got a couple of shout-outs this week. The Hunger and Health Coalition posted a link to the project on their site. You can read more about all the good work they're doing here. Also, Anna Oakes wrote a great article in the High Country Press.
This weekend, the family headed up to Apple Hill Farm in Matney. If you haven't been there, you should visit! They have lots of animals, including some lovely alpacas. They make the most beautiful and marvelously soft yarn. Speaking of which, Apple Hill is working with us to create some Hungry Monster knitting kits using the beautiful yarn. Look for those soon in local stores.
