The kids have created their monsters! They did a fantastic job. I'm so proud of them. They also wrote some pretty interesting stories. First we have:
Rainbow
Once upon a time in San Francisco Beach there was a monster named Rainbow. He was walking on the beach when he tripped over a rock. He fell down and landed in moondust. It shook the ground. The moondust made him grow horns really fast. He decided to walk a little farther, but his big feet made him trip and pounce in mud, which he really hates. To make himself smell better, he sprinkled pixie dust on his head, and that's how he got his color.
Vampire Crystal
Once upon a time, there was a little monster named Vampire Crytal. She lived in a cave. She was blue, orange, and yellow. She had sharp teeth, big wings, little horns, and one eye. She loved to dance at night in her new dress. During the day, she ate jello and blood cookies in her cave. She does not like snow, chocolate cookies, or the sun. She really likes dresses, blood, and the dark.
Mr. Underwear
A long time ago in Underwearland, there was a monster named Mr. Underwear. He was walking in Underwearland, eating a pair of underwear, and he tripped on a rock, and landed in colorful mid, This is how he got he got his spots. Mr. Underwear likes cats, eyes, stars, food, and, of course, underwear. His favorite thing to eat is underwear, and his favorite colors are purple and blue. Mr. Underwear hates pants, bats, mud, dogs, and toothbrushes.
Now to knit these crazy monsters...
I'll be ready to launch the patterns next week!

I love these little monsters! I'm so very curious, do all monsters have a dislike of mud?

I am in awe of the monsters they made up and the stories they created with the monsters. I adore Mr. Underwear. I must get this pattern and make one for my grandson who hates underwear. He's five. This is just a fantastic bunch of kids. Tell them I said hooray for monsters everywhere.
